In today's digital era, social media has become a powerful communication tool for individuals, businesses, and organizations. However, with the exponential growth of social media platforms, the sheer volume of conversations, posts, and interactions makes it challenging to monitor and understand the online landscape effectively. This poses a significant problem for businesses that rely on social media as a crucial channel for customer engagement and brand management. Existing social media monitoring tools are often expensive, complex to use, or limited in their capabilities. They fail to provide a comprehensive solution that combines real-time monitoring, sentiment analysis, and customizable alerts in an accessible and user-friendly interface. This gap in the market hinders businesses' ability to proactively manage their online presence, engage with their target audience effectively, and stay ahead of potential crises or emerging opportunities.

A preliminary study was conducted before the design effort was undertaken. The research focused on 2 areas:

Competitive analysis
According to the data available online, there are more and more Social Media users every year. In 2021, global number of people using Social Media apps is around 3.8B.
3 main competitors for the application were identified, and they were: Brand24, Awario and SentiOne. According to the opinions of users of these products, there are quite a few usability problems with the tool.
Design
After the initial testing phase, low fidelity screens were made to show the structure and overall interface of the application.
After accepting the initial structure, the next step was to prepare the visual style of the entire project. In the end, such colors and fonts were chosen:
The Results
RefUs aims to bridge the gap in the social media monitoring landscape by providing a powerful, user-friendly, and cost-effective solution. By offering real-time monitoring, sentiment analysis, customizable alerts, and comprehensive analytics, RefUs empowers users to proactively manage their online presence, engage with their audience effectively, and stay ahead of the competition.
